Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that the Falcons are trying out WR Donatella Luckett during their minicamp this week.
Luckett, 25, wound up signing on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Harding back in May of last year. He was unable to make the Chiefs’ final 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but later signed to the Chargers’ practice squad in October.
San Diego ultimately waived Luckett from the taxi squad with an injury settlement just a week after signing him.
During his four-year college career, Luckett recorded 79 receptions for 1,625 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns. He also ran for 579 yards on 78 carries (7.4 YPC) to go along with five touchdowns.
