Falcons Waive DL Malliciah Goodman & S Robenson Therezie, Promote LB Josh Keyes

The Atlanta Falcons announced Thursday that they’ve waived S Robenson Therezie and DL Malliciah Goodman and promoted LB Josh Keyes and TE D.J. Tialavea to the active roster.

Goodman, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Falcons back in 2013. He spent three years in Atlanta before he was waived coming out of the preseason.

The Seahawks later signed him to a contract in October but he lasted just a week in Seattle before he was cut loose. The Falcons signed him to their active roster a few weeks ago.

In 2016, Goodman has appeared in three games and recorded one tackle.

Therezie, 25, wound up signing a three-year, $1.575 million contract with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May of last year. He stands to make base salaries of $525,000 and $615,000 over the final two years of the contract.

In 2016, Therezie has appeared in 12 games for the Falcons and recorded three tackles and no interceptions.

Keyes, 23, signed on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2015 and bounced on and off the team’s practice squad.

He was unable to make the team coming out off the preseason but was signed to their practice squad a few days afterward. He also had a brief stint on the Chiefs’ practice squad before returning to Tampa Bay.

The Buccaneers signed Keyes to their practice squad coming out of the preseason and later promoted him to their active roster. Keyes was on and off the Buccaneers’ practice squad before the Falcons signed him to their practice squad back in October.

This season, Keyes has been active for four games and recorded three tackles.
