Falcons Waive QB Dominique Davis

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have waived QB Dominique Davis on Thursday.

This comes just hours after reports surfaced that the Falcons had traded for Texans’ backup QB T.J. Yates.

Davis signed with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Boston College back in 2012. He appeared in just one game for Atlanta completing five of his seven pass attempts for 34 yards.

Davis, 24, was entering the final year of his three-year, $1.44 million contract and was set to make $570,000 for the 2014 season.

We’ll have to see if anyone puts in a waiver claim or signs him to a contract next week.
