Falcons Waive RB B.J. Daniels With Settlement

The Atlanta Falcons placed RB B.J. Daniels on waivers with an injury settlement on Wednesday.

Daniels, 27, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2013. He lasted less than a year in San Francisco before he was waived and later claimed by the Seahawks.

Daniels was on and off of the Seahawks’ practice squad for over two years before the Texans signed him to their active roster towards the end of the 2015 season. After that, Daniel had brief stints with the Giants and Bears before he signed on to the Falcons’ practice squad in December of last year.

Atlanta brought Daniels back on a future/reserve contract this past January.

In 2015, Daniels appeared in eight games and record one catch for 12 yards receiving to go along with six rushes for six yards and no touchdowns. He also completed one of two passes for seven yards.
