The Atlanta Falcons also waived rookie LB Derrick Malone on Friday, according to the NFL transactions release.
- The Falcons placed 2014 fourth-round LB Prince Shembo on waivers Friday as well.
Malone signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon back in early May, but his time with the team was obviously short lived.
During his senior season at Oregon, Malone recorded 85 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, a half sack, one forced fumble and two pass defenses.
