Falcons Working Out OL Ben Gottschalk

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Falcons are working out free agent OL Ben Gottschalk on Thursday.

Gottschalk, 26, signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of SMU back in 2014. He was unable to make Kansas City’s 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later added to their practice squad.

After a brief stint with the Buccaneers, Gottschalk signed on with the 49ers in 2015 before he was waived during the preseason. The Buccaneers elected to bring him back on a futures contract in 2015, but they eventually made the decision to cut him loose after last year’s draft with a failed physical designation.

In 2016, Gottschalk appeared in two games for the Buccaneers.
