Family Worried About Rams RB Tre Mason’s Mental Health, Cops Have Been Called To His House 5 Times

TMZ reports that Rams RB Tre Mason has been involved in five different incidents in which police were called to his Florida home in the past four months, and his family is “extremely concerned” about him.

According to the report, Mason’s family is worried about his mental health and concerned for his personal safety. His family has pointed to a string of bizarre behavior and angry outbursts that have occurred over the past few months.

Mason has reportedly agreed to check into a facility to resolve the situation and has never been accused of hurting anyone.

Last we heard regarding Mason, Rams HC Jeff Fisher mentioned during OTAs that they have to prepare for the possibility that he is “not going to be here,” via the L.A. Daily News.

Mason has missed all of offseason workouts up to this point, due to a March arrest on drug and traffic charges.

Nick Wagoner previously projected the Rams to keep four running backs with Mason being on the outside looking in, due to his offseason arrest and the looming possibility of a suspension.

Mason, 22, is a former third-round pick of the Rams back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,980,938 rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $641,146 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Mason appeared in 13 games for the Rams and ran for 207 yards on 75 carries (2.8 YPC) to go along with 18 receptions for 88 yards receiving and one total touchdown.

We’ll have more regarding Mason and his future with the team as the news is available.
