Florida State S Derwin James Entering 2018 Draft, Skipping Bowl Game

Florida State safety Derwin James announced via his Instagram account Tuesday that he will enter the 2018 NFL Draft and skip the Seminoles’ upcoming bowl game.

“On to the next chapter of my life I will be entering the 2018 NFL Draft and will not participate in the bowl game, FOREVER NOLE NATION #dj3,” James writes.

James, 21, is widely considered to be one of the best talents in next year’s draft class and a possible top-10 ppick when all is said and done, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

During his three-year career at FSU, James recorded 186 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, 5.5 sacks, three interceptions with one being returned for a touchdown, two forced fumbles, two recoveries, and 15 pass defenses over the course of 26 games played.
