Former Bills QB Thad Lewis Works Out For Rams

Field Yates of ESPN reports that former Bills QB Thad Lewis worked out for the Rams on Monday.

Lewis, 26, was among the Bills final roster cuts a few weeks ago and was unable to beat out Jeff Tuel for a backup job. Tuel was later waived as well.

The Rams have sustained some injuries to the quarterback position including starter Sam Bradford and backup Shaun Hill. However, they claimed Case Keenum off of waivers and Austin Davis just led them to a victory over the Buccaneers, so it’s interesting to see them bring in a guy like Lewis for a workout.

Last year, Lewis appeared in six games and completed 59.2 percent of his passes for 1,092 yards to go along with four touchdowns and three interceptions.
