Report: Bengals Haven’t Signed DT Kevin Vickson, Possible Deal Could Come Next Week

Former Broncos DT Kevin Vickerson posted a picture on his Instagram account Tuesday of Bengals’ t-shirt with the description: “God is great .Bengals …on to the next.”

However, Vickerson later deleted the post all together.

Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports that Vickerson did visit with the team this week, but they will not be signing him to a contract this week.

According to Klis, there is still a chance that Cincinnati could sign him to a contract next week.

Vickerson, 31, was one of the more notable cuts from the Broncos as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players on Saturday.

Over the weekend, reports indicated that the Chargers could have interest in signing him to a contract, but they elected to go with a different defensive lineman.

Last year, Vickerson appeared in 11 games for the Broncos and recorded 22 tackles, one sack, and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 56 defensive tackle out of 69 qualifying players last season.
