Former Browns CB K’Waun Williams Visiting With Lions & Jets, New Orleans Also Interested

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that former Browns CB K’Waun Williams will visit with the Lions and Jets in the coming days.

  • Rapoport mentions that Williams first meeting is with the Lions and scheduled for today.
  • Joel A. Erickson reports that the Saints have “some interest” in Williams, but it appears as though other teams have more right now.

Williams, 25, wound up signing on with the Browns as an undrafted free agent out of Pittsburgh back in 2014. He was in the final year of his three-year, $1.53 million contract when the Browns cut him loose during the preseason as they trimmed their roster down to 75 players.

Williams was later claimed off of waivers by the Bears, but he failed a physical due to his ankle injury and was cut loose a day later.

Williams filed a grievance against the Browns for how things played out this summer.

In 2015, Williams appeared in 13 games and recorded 39 tackles, one sack, three forced fumbles, two recoveries and two pass defenses.
