Browns LB Armonty Bryant and former Browns DB De’Ante Saunders were indicted on Tuesday for gun and drug charges in connection with a Christmas-day traffic stop, per Cory Shaffer of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.
According to the indictment, Bryant faces two felony drug possession charges, while Saunders has one charge of improperly handling weapons in a motor vehicle.
Saunders reportedly was taken into custody for OVI and speeding on Christmas morning. After searching the vehicle, Police discovered one handgun with a 22-round magazine and three Adderall and OxyCodone prescription pills.
Bryant, 25, is in the third year of his four-year, $2.221 million rookie contract that includes base salaries of $585,000 this season and another $675,000 in 2016.
This season, Bryant has appeared in 14 games and recorded 40 tackles, 5.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, a recovery for the Browns.
