Former Chargers K Younghoe Koo Goes Unclaimed, Now A Free Agent

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that former Chargers K Younghoe Koo officially passed through waivers unclaimed on Friday and is now free to sign with a team of his choosing.

The Buccaneers are holding tryouts in the coming days, so it’s possible he could get a look from Tampa Bay.

Koo, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia Southern back in May. He was set to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2017 season when the Chargers waived him on Thursday and re-signed K Nick Novak.

In 2017, Koo has appeared in four games for the Chargers and converted just three of six field goal attempts and all nine extra point tries.
