Former Cowboys CB Brandon McGee Clears Waivers, Now A Free Agent

Former Cowboys CB Brandon McGee officially cleared waivers on Wednesday and is now an unrestricted free agent.

Dallas waived McGee from their injured reserve list on Tuesday with an injury settlement.

McGee, 25, was taken by the Rams in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL draft. He was unfortunately among the team’s roster cuts last year, but later returned to the Rams’ practice squad.

Unfortunately, the Rams cut McGee loose midseason and later signed to to the Giants’ practice squad before the Cowboys gave him a one-year, future/reserve contract in January.

McGee was placed on I.R. close to a month ago after he cleared waivers and later reverted to their injured reserve list.

In 2015, McGee was active for just a single game and did not record a statistic.
