Former Cowboys DL Josh Brent Will Serve 180 Days In Jail

Calvin Watkins of ESPN Dallas reports that former Cowboys DL Josh Brent will serve 180 days in jail for his actions that led to the death of teammate Jerry Brown.

Brent was facing as much as 20 years in prison and probation.

According to numerous reports on Wednesday, former Cowboys DL Josh Brent has been convicted of intoxication manslaughter.

Jennifer Emily reports that Brent, 25, faces up to 20 years in prison. He will be eligible for probation.

Brent was driving home after a night of drinking with his friend and former teammate, Jerry Brown, when he wrecked his car in an accident that resulted in the death of Brown. Brent retired from the NFL last summer.
