Last night, Alex Marvez of FOX Sports reported that the Saints are hosting punter tryouts on Tuesday after P Thomas Morstead hurt his leg during Sunday night’s game.

According to Marvez, New Orleans is bringing in four free agent punters, but he didn’t offer any specific names.

Joel Erickson of The Advocate reports that former Dolphins punter Brandon Fields is among the punters trying out for the Saints today.

Fields, 31, had two years remaining on his five-year, $14.424 million contract when the Dolphins released him in a move that freed up $1,750,000 in cap space.

In 2014, Fields appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins and total 2339 yards punting and three touchbacks. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 23 punter out of 38 qualifying players last year.

We’ll have more regarding who tried out for the Saints as the news is available.
