Former Eagles OC Pat Shurmur To Interview With Vikings, Possibly For RBs Coach Job

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that former Eagles OC Pat Shurmur is set to interview with the Vikings in the coming days.

Interestingly enough, Rapoport mentions that the only job opening the Vikings currently have is RBs coach.

Jim Thomas reported earlier in the day that the Rams are interested in former Shurmur for their passing game coordinator.

Shurmur, 50, has been the Eagles’ offensive coordinator since 2013 and was named interim head coach following the dismissal of Chip Kelly. His one appearance as head coach finished in a 35-30 victory over the Giants.

The Eagles officially released him from his contract on Wednesday.

In 2015, the Eagles offense ranked No. 12 in passing yards, No. 14 in rushing yards, No. 12 in yards-per-game and No. 13 in points-per-game.
