Former Jaguars WR Ace Sanders Goes Unclaimed, Now A Free Agent

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that no NFL team placed a waiver claim for former Jaguars WR Ace Sanders on Monday.

Sanders is now an unrestricted free agent and can sign on with a team of his choosing in the coming days/weeks.

Sanders, 23, had two years remaining on his four-year, $2.641 million rookie contract that included a $481,448 signing bonus when he was placed on waivers last week.

In 2014, Sanders caught six passes for 55 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also contributed 16 kick return yards and another 227 punt return years for the Jaguars.

Last summer, Sanders four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He was also limited to contributing on special teams for the most part, so we’ll have to see if anyone shows interest in him in the coming weeks.
