Former Jets Free Agent TE Brandon Bostick Suspended First Four Games Of 2017

According to Howard Balzer, former Jets free agent TE Brandon Bostick has been suspended for the first four games of the 2017 season.

The reason for suspension remains unclear at this point in time.

Bostick, 27, originally signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent back in 2012. However, he was cut loose after he dropped an onside kick that aided the Seahawks comeback in the NFC Championship game of 2014.

The Vikings elected to claim him off of waivers, but Bostick was unfortunately among their final roster cuts at the start of the season. He later joined the Cardinals’ practice squad before being waived and later signed to the Jets’ practice squad.

The Jets did not tender him a contract as a restricted free agent and should be unlikely to sign with a new team until his suspension is lifted.

In 2016, Bostick appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and recorded eight receptions for 63 yards receiving.
