Former Packers NT Ryan Pickett Tried Out For Texans

According to Field Yates of ESPN, the Houston Texans brought in former Packers NT Ryan Pickett for a tryout this week.

Many assumed that Pickett could return to Green Bay after they lost B.J. Raji for the season, however the Packers have not shown interest in re-signing him.

Pickett mentioned during the summer that he was hoping to sign on with a new team before the start of training camp, but that obviously never happened.

Pickett, 34, was one of only a few free agent signing Packers GM Ted Thompson has made over the course of his tenure in Green Bay. Last year, Pickett appeared in all 16 games for Green Bay and totaled 21 tackles.

Pro Football Focus had Pickett rated as the No. 53 defensive tackle in the league last season.
