Former Patriots OL Tre’ Jackson Clears Waivers, Now Free Agent

On Monday, former Patriots OL Tre’ Jackson officially passed through waivers unclaimed and is now free to sign with a team of his choosing.

This doesn’t come as a big surprise, considering that Jackson was waived with a failed physical designation by the Rams just a few days after they claimed him off of waivers from the Patriots.

Jackson, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Patriots back in 2015. He was currently in the third year of his four-year, $2,803,740 contract and set to make base salaries of $615,000 and $705,000 over the remainder of the contract when the Patriots cut him loose last week.

Jackson spent the entire 2016 season on the Patriots’ physically unable to perform list, due to a knee injury.
