Former Pittsburgh Steeler James Farrior Considering Retirement

Linebacker James Farrior, released by the Pittsburgh Steelers in March, is contemplating retiring, CBS Sports reports.

Farrior’s agent, Ralph Cindrich, told KDFA-FM in an interview on the weekend that Farrior has yet to decide if he’ll retire, but they have talked to the Steelers regarding a potential news conference.

Farrior said he intended to keep playing after Pittsburgh let him go, but it appears that there is no interest in the league for his services.

Now 36, Farrior is not the only veteran released by the Steelers this offseason. Hines Ward, now retired, and Aaron Smith also departed.
