The Ravens cut Canty loose earlier in the week in a move that cleared $2.66 million in cap space for Baltimore.
Canty had reportedly been contemplating retirement, but he’s been working out regularly since the season ended and intends to play next year.
Canty, 32, appeared in 11 games for the Ravens and recorded 33 tackles, a half sack, a forced fumble and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 37 defensive end in a 3-4 defense out of 47 qualifying players.
We’ll have more regarding Canty as the news is available.
