Former Vikings DT Fred Evans Worked Out For Patriots Thursday

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports reports that former Vikings DT Fred Evans worked out for the Patriots on Friday.

The Vikings re-signed Evans to a one-year conract worth $1 million back in March, but he was one of the more notable roster cuts made a few week ago as NFL teams worked to get their roster’s down to 53 players.

Evans, 30, appeared in 14 games and totaled 20 tackles and a forced fumble for the Vikings in 2013. According to Pro Football Focus, Evans graded out as the No. 46 defensive tackle in the league and was a solid run-defender.
