Free Agent CB Drayton Florence Visited With The Titans Tuesday

Albert Breer of the NFL Network reports that free agent CB Drayton Florence visited with the Tennessee Titans on Tuesday.

Alex Marvez of Fox Sports reported a few days ago that Florence are both expected to make visits with interested NFL teams this week, so the news shouldn’t come as a huge surprise.

The Titans unfortunately lose Alterraun Verner in free agency, and although they used a fourth-round pick on Marqueston Huff, they didn’t find an immediate replacement this offseason.

Florence, 33, hadn’t generated any buzz whatsoever before this, but free agent activity is expected to pick up this week now that June 1 has passed and NFL teams no longer have to worry about losing 2015 compensatory draft picks.

In 2013, Florence appeared in 14 games and totaled 26 tackles, two interceptions, and nine passes defensed. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 22 cornerback in the league.

We have him listed as the No. 7 player in our recently updated Top 50 – Best Available Free Agents list.
