Free Agent CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu & TE Justice Cunningham Trying Out For Giants

The Giants have some notable free agents in attendance for their rookie minicamp this weekend including CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu (Jordan Raanan) and TE Justice Cunningham (James Kratch).

  • Veteran K Travis Coons is also trying out for the Giants, according to Raanan.

Ekpre-Olomu, 23, was taken in the seventh round of the 2015 NFL draft by the Browns. He spent his rookie season on the team’s non-football injury list, as he was working his way back from a serious knee injury he suffered during his senior year at Oregon.

Unfortunately, the Browns cut him loose last May and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Dolphins. Miami waived him with an injury designation during the preseason and he wound up reverting to their injured reserve list.

The Dolphins cut Ekpre-Olomu loose back in February.

During his four-year career at Oregon, Ekpre-Olomu recorded 244 tackles, 6.5 sacks, nine interceptions, and eight forced fumbles.

Cunningham, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Colts back in 2013. He lasted less than one year in Indianapolis before he was waived and later signed to the Rams’ practice squad.

Cunningham was on and off of the Rams’ practice squad for the past few years. He returned to the Rams on a futures deal last January but was waived at the start of the season.

In 2015, Cunningham appeared in two games but did not record a statistic.
