Free Agent DL Ra’Shede Hageman Arrested, Charged With DWI

According to ESPN, free agent DL Ra’Shede Hageman was arrested early Saturday on a fourth-degree misdemeanor charge of driving while impaired.

Hageman was reportedly released without posting bail about 90 minutes after he was booked and a court hearing has been set for June 21.

Hageman has been trying to secure another opportunity with an NFL team after sitting out the entire 2017 season.

The Patriots brought Hageman in for a workout a few weeks ago, but didn’t sign him to a contract following the session. Before that, Darren Wolfson reported that the Seahawks had shown some interest in him.

Hageman, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Falcons back in 2014. He was in the third year of his four-year, $5,335,842 contract and set to make a base salary of $905,076 for the 2017 season when he was waived by Atlanta at the start of last season.

Hageman was suspended six games for a domestic violence incident that occurred last March involving the mother of his child. He wound up sitting out the entire 2017 season.

In 2016, Hageman appeared in all 12 games for the Falcons and recorded 18 total tackles and two sacks.
