Free agent DT Kevin Williams Tried Out For Seahawks On Monday

Howard Balzer of the LockerDome.com reports thatĀ free agent DT Kevin Williams worked out for the Seahawks on Monday.

The Giants recent brought in Williams for a visit, which happened to be the first reported meeting with an NFL team this offseason.Ā Williams ultimately left with a contract from New York.

The Seahawks continue to look for more depth at defensive line even after they brought backĀ Tony McDaniel a few weeks ago.

Williams, 34, has spent eleven seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, and was considered one of the best interior lineman in the league for a large potion of his career.

In 2013, he totaled 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery. Ā Pro Football FocusĀ rated Williams as the No. 27 interior defensive linemen in the league.

We haveĀ himĀ listed as the No. 5Ā best available player in ourĀ Top 50 Free Agents list.
