Free Agent DT Vance Walker To Be Medically Cleared Next Week

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that free agent DT Vance Walker is expected to be medically cleared next week after he suffered a torn ACL last summer. Schefter adds that Walker will be ready to go for the start of training camp.

Walker visited with the Bears back in March, but there hasn’t been any reported interest in him since then.

Walker, 30, is a former seventh-round pick of the Falcons back in 2009. He spent four years in Atlanta before signing on with the Raiders as an unrestricted free agent in 2013.

Walker later signed on with the Chiefs, but was cut loose this in March of last year. The Broncos later signed him to a two-year, $4 million contract. However, he, unfortunately, suffered a torn ACL during the summer and subsequently missed the entire season.

In 2015, Walker appeared in 15 games for the Broncos and recorded 33 tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble.
