Free Agent ILB Pat Angerer Had Interest From “Several Teams,” Waiting To Take Visits

Free agent ILB Pat Angerer tells Alex Marvez that he had interest from “several teams” earlier this offseason, but would prefer to be 100 percent healthy before visiting with prospective teams.

Angerer is recovering from microfracture surgery, and said that he is “still a few months away” from participating in workouts, per Alex Marvez.

At the start of March, Angerer’s agent mentioned that it’s unlikely he’ll be back with the Colts next season and the signing of D’Qwell Jackson would indicate that the team has already moved on.

Angerer, 27, was selected by the Colts in the second-round draft of the 2010 NFL Draft. Last year, he totaled 63 tackles, 0.5 sacks and an interception over the course of 11 games.

Pro Football Focus has Angerer rates as the No. 36 inside linebacker in the league last season.

We have him listed as the No. 31 player in our Best Available Free Agents list.
