Vaughn McClure of ESPN.com, citing a league source, reports that free agent ILB Tim Dobbins will visit with the Falcons on Thursday.
Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported last night that the Falcons are taking a “hard look” at free agent ILB Jonathan Vilma, Dobbins to replace Sean Weatherspoon.
Dobbins, 31, last played for the Texans, but after signing a one-year contract with the team last April, he lasted only until October before being released.
He has dealt with some hamstring issues, but after sitting out most of the 2013 season, I’m sure they are no longer a problem.
We’ll have more regarding the Falcons and a possible signing as the news is available.
