Free Agent NT Ryan Pickett Hoping To Have A New Team By Training Camp

Free Agent NT Ryan Pickett recently mentioned that he expects to be on a roster by the start of training camp.

“I can still play ball. Just turn on the tape,” Pickett said, via The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “I can do my job. And I do it well. I like to prove people wrong. I feel great. I don’t feel old.”

Pickett wouldn’t say which teams he has been in contact with, which implies that there is at least some interest in his services. He did add that he’d prefer to join a contender.

Pickett, 34, was one of only a few free agent signing Packers GM Ted Thompson has made over the course of his tenure in Green Bay. Last year, Pickett appeared in all 16 games for Green Bay and totaled 21 tackles. Pro Football Focus had Pickett rated as the No. 53 defensive tackle in the league last season.

We have Pickett listed as the No. 22 player in our Top 50 – Best Available Free Agents list.
