Free Agent OT Ryan Harris Worked Out For Dolphins Monday

Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins worked out free agent OT Ryan Harris on Monday.

However, Jackson mentions that the Dolphins are “close” to an agreement with veteran OL Daryn Colledge.

Miami was reportedly bringing in a handle of veteran players including Samson Satele and Steve Vallos for tryouts this week to bolster their offensive line depth ahead of training camp, but this is the first we’ve heard regarding Harris in recent months.

Adam Beasley reported several months ago that Miami made made “preliminary calls” about Harrisbut there has been very little buzz surrounding him since then.

Harris, 29, was drafted by the Broncos in the third-round of the 2007 NFL Draft and spent the first four years of his career in Denver. He later joined the Texans on a one-year contract.

Last season, Harris appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and was rated as the No. 57 offensive tackle in the league by Pro Football Focus.

We have Colledge and Harris both featured in our Best Available Free Agents list.
