Free Agent QB David Carr Hoping To Sign With A New Team Before The Draft

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, free agent QB David Carr is hoping to sign with a new team before the NFL Draft.

Carr previously mentioned that “there are teams thinking about” signing him if they were to draft his brother Derek.

There’s so much positive things about having us both on the same team, that I don’t know why somebody wouldn’t think about it,” Derek said, via Pro Football Talk. “And the truth is there are teams thinking about it, because they’ve been letting us know about it.”

However, Schefter mentions that David’s new team will have nothing to do with his brother getting drafted by the same team.

Carr, 34, is a former No. 1 overall pick of the Houston Texans. He has spent three of the past four years with the Giants, but the fact that they now have Ryan Nassib behind Eli Manning all but ruled out a return to New York.

We’ll have to see if teams in need of backup quarterback bring him in for visits ahead of the draft, or if they want and see how things go in May before considering veteran options.
