Free Agent QB Tarvaris Jackson Won’t Be Charged For Allegedly Pulling Gun On His Wife

TMZ Sports is reporting free agent QB Tarvaris Jackson won’t be charged for allegedly pulling a loaded gun on his wife and threatening to shoot her.

The Assistant State Attorney tells TMZ that there just isn’t enough evidence to get a conviction if the case moved forward.

“From the investigation which has been made, it is the opinion of the writer that this case is not suitable for prosecution,” said the attorney.

Jackson was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly pointed a loaded gun at his wife, telling here: “I’ll kill you, bitch. I’ll kill you, bitch.

Jackson’s wife allegedly told him: “You better be accurate because you ain’t accurate on the field.” Jackson’s wife grabbed kitchen knife and a clothing iron for protection.

A witness in the house grabbed a hold of Jackson to stop him from shooting his wife, according to the report. All the while, Jackson kids were asleep during incident.

Jackson, 33, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2006. He spent five years in Minnesota before signing on with the Seahawks in 2011. He’s spent the past five years in Seattle and is currently an unrestricted free agent.

Recent reports have said that the Seahawks haven’t ruled out re-signing Jackson. However, this incident is serious enough that he may have a hard time securing another opportunity in the NFL.

In 2015, Jackson appeared in four games for the Seahawks and threw for 37 yards while completing four of six attempts and no touchdowns.
