Free Agent RT Jordan Mills Would Like To Re-Sign With Bills

Bills free agent RT Jordan Mills mentioned that his preference is to re-sign with Buffalo this offseason and plans to meet with the team at the Combine this week.

“The Bills are in the mix and they know they’re in the mix, but it comes down to negotiations with my agent, knowing other things could happen,” said Mills, via BuffaloBills.com. “They really appreciated what I did since I’ve been here. I talked to (GM Doug) Whaley and I know he’s going to make an effort to get me back there.

“At the same time there are other obligations and we had like 24 free agents on the team this year. But I’m pretty sure he wants to get me back there and I know he’s going to make the attempt. We’re going to know more this week at the combine and when March 9thcomes we’ll definitely know more. We’ll see.”

Mills, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bears back in 2013. He spent two years in Chicago before he was released during roster cuts at the start of the 2015 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Cowboys.

His stay in Dallas was short-lived, as the Cowboys waived him after just a week. Mills later signed on to the Lions’ practice squad before the Bills added him to their active roster.

Mills returned to the Bills on a one-year, $1.67 million restricted contract.

In 2016, Mills appeared in all 16 games and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 64 offensive tackle out of 78 qualifying players.
