Free Agent S Jaiquawn Jarrett Leaves Texans Visit Without Deal

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are continuing to explore their options at the safety position after not offering a contract to free agent S Jaiquawn Jarrett after working him out this week.

Jarrett, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Eagles back in 2011. He lasted just over a year in Philadelphia before he was waived at the start of the 2012 season. The Jets later signed him to a future/reserve contract at the end of the season.

New York re-signed Jarrett to a restricted contract worth $1.542 million back in 2015, but he wound up being placed on season-ending injured reserve.

In 2015, Jarrett appeared in four games for the Jets but didn’t record a statistic.
