Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports that Chiefs free agent S Tyvon Branch will meet with the Cardinals for his first visit with teams.

  • Paylor adds that Branch potentially has “multiple” visits scheduled.

Last we heard, Herbie Teope of ChiefsDigest.com wrote two weeks ago that the Chiefs expressed interest in re-signing Branch, but it unclear if any progress has been made towards a deal.

Branch, 29, is a former fourth-round pick of the Raiders back in 2008. He spent five years in Oakland before signing on with the Chiefs as an unrestricted free agent last year.

In 2015, Branch appeared in all 16 games for the Chiefs and recorded 43 tackles, one sack, an interception returned for a touchdown, a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown and four pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
