Update: Falcons Sign TE Bear Pascoe

Update:

———–

Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports reports that free agent TE Bear Pascoe is visiting with and working out for the Falcons on Thursday.

This is the first reported visit for Pascoe since he became an unrestricted free agent months ago.

There’s no question that Falcons could use some help at tight end now that Tony Gonzalez has officially retired, but they haven’t exactly been aggressive in placing the future Hall of Famer.

As of now that they have Levine Toilolo, Mickey Shuler and Andrew Szczerba on their roster. The Falcons could always target someone during the draft, but signing Pascoe would at least given them a decent blocking tight end for training camp.

Pascoe , 28, appeared in all 16 games for the Giants last season and caught 12 passes for 81 yards and no touchdowns.

Pro Football Focus rated Pascoe as the No. 18 tight end in the league last season, mainly due to his run-blocking ability.
