Free Agent TE James Casey Scheduled To Meet With Broncos, Titans, & Browns

ESPN’s Adam Caplan reports that free agent TE James Casey will visit with the Broncos, Titans, and Browns now that he’s finished his meeting with the Cardinals.

  • According to Caplan, at least eight teams have requested a meeting with Casey, due to his positional versatility and a weak draft class at tight end.

Philadelphia probably did him a favor by releasing him well before the start of free agency, so he can meet with prospect teams before the market is open for business.

Casey spent time working with new Broncos HC Gary Kubiak while they were in Houston, and the Denver could use some extra help at tight end, so this could be something to keep an eye on.

Casey, 30, appeared in all 16 games and caught three passes for 59 yards receiving and two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him down for playing 173 snaps last year to go along with a solid rating as a run-blocker.
