Free Agent TE Jermaine Gresham Visited With Cardinals, Has Other Visits Lined Up

Kent Somer of the Arizona Republic reports that free agent TE Jermaine Gresham did in fact visit with the Cardinals on Tuesday.

However, there’s no agreement in place between the parties at this point in time, and there’s no word regarding Gresham’s physical for the team.

Mike Jurecki of Fox Sports 910 confirms the news and adds that Gresham has other visits lined up with NFL teams.

As of now, we’re not sure who Gresham will be meeting with next, but Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported earlier in the week that he still has interest from the Saints and Raiders among others.

It appears as though Gresham is one of the few free agents that could have a decent market in the days leading up to the start of training camp.

The Raiders nearly signed Gresham to a contract several months ago before he was diagnosed with a herniated disc.

Gresham, 27, is clearly one of the best available free agents. However, he diagnosed with a herniated disc a few months ago and wound up undergoing surgery, which took him out of the running for a number of jobs around the league.

In 2014, Gresham caught 62 passes for 460 yards receiving and five touchdowns over the course of 15 games. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 37 tight end out of 67 qualifying players.

We have Gresham listed as the No. 2 player in our Top 25 Best Available Free Agents list.
