FSU RB Dalvin Cook Visited With Redskins

John Keim of ESPN reports that the Redskins hosted FSU RB Dalvin Cook for a visit this week along with DL DeMarcus Walker.

  • NoleGameday first reported that both players were in Washington.

Cook has previously visited with the 49ers, Browns, and Bengals, but like has a great deal of interest beyond these three teams.

Former NFL GM Charlie Casserly polled 19 GMs at the Combine about who they have as the top running back in this year’s draft and 12 said LSU’s Leonard Fournette while 7 others had Cook, so he’s clearly in the mix to be the first running back to come off the board later this month.

Cook, 21, is considered to be one of the best running back prospects in this year’s draft class. His combine performance was disappointing, but NFL teams seem to think his overall resume outweighs some of the concerns that arose from his workout in Indianapolis.

During his three years at Florida State, Cook appeared in 38 games and rushed for 4,464 yards on 687 carries (6.5 YPC) to go along with 79 receptions for 935 yards receiving and 48 total touchdowns.

We have him being selected by the Buccaneers in the First Round of our 2017 NFL Mock Draft.
