Garrett Hartley Wins Kicking Battle In New Orleans

Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that Garrett Hartley has won the starting spot after John Kasay was cut from the team.

Kasay had signed with the team last season after Hartley went down in preseason, and did more than just fill in. Kasay ended up with a career-high 147 points from 28 out of 34 attempts and having made all 63 extra point attempts.

Hartley showed he was back 100% with a solid preseason performance, going 6 for 7 during this span. Kasay will likely draw interest at some point during the season following an injury.
