The Baltimore Ravens announced Sunday night that offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak will remain with the team, despite receiving interest from a few NFL teams regarding their head-coaching vacancies.
“It is flattering and humbling to be invited to interview for a number of NFL head coaching positions, and I greatly appreciate these opportunities,” Kubiak said in a statement. “But I have decided to stay with the Ravens.
“This is a special organization and we, like [Head] Coach [John] Harbaugh says, are building something great. I want to be a part of that and contribute in whatever ways I can.”
The New York Jets and Chicago Bears had requested to speak with Kubiak, who finished up his first with the Ravens.
While Baltimore lost a close game to the Patriots on Saturday, the addition of Kubiak proved to be a great move for the Ravens, who had lost Jim Caldwell to the Lions last year.
