Georgia LB Jarvis Jones’ Neck A “Non-Issue?”

Dan Pompei of the National Football Post writes that the concerns regarding Georgia OLB Jarvis Jones‘ neck are “starting to look like it might be a non-issue on draft day.

Craig Brigham, a leading orthopedist, sent a medical report to all NFL teams that refutes that Jones “ever had a significant spinal cord contusion.” Brigham adds that “Jarvis is cleared to play without restriction.”

USC reportedly diagnosed Jones with this issue, which forced him to transfer to Georgia. Given this information, Pompei doesn’t expect Jones to fall out of the top ten picks in the upcoming draft.

The Cleveland Browns are believed to have interest in him. They’ve also shown a lot of interest in 3-4 outside linebackers, so it’s pretty clear that they’re prepared to consider all of their available options this offseason.
