Giants Activate DT Damon Harrison From PUP List

The New York Giants announced Tuesday that DT Damon Harrison has passed his physical and has been activated from the active/PUP list.

Harrison, 27, wound up signing on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of William Penn back in 2012. Last year, he was brought back on a one-year restricted tender before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent in 2016.

The Giants ultimately signed him to a five-year, $46.25 million contract that includes $24 million guaranteed. Harrison will make a base salary of $1.75 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Harrison appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and recorded 72 tackles, a half sack, and a forced fumble.
