Giants Activate WR Cody Latimer From Injured Reserve

The New York Giants announced Wednesday that they’ve officially activated WR Cody Latimer from injured reserve.

Latimer, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3,708,650 contract before agreeing to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with the Giants this past March.

Latimer will be an unrestricted free agent again in 2019.

In 2018, Latimer appeared in four games for the Giants and caught six passes for 108 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also totaled 89 kick return yards.

  1. This guy Cody Latimer is still on the team?! The GMEN Brass could have and should have made him a week 10 roster cut. And in doing so, the GMEN would have gained a 2019 4th or 5th round pick for losing Pugh or Kennard in free agency.
The GMEN don’t need Latimer, Bennie Fowler has played great for the GMEN and Corey Coleman is coming along in KRs and receiving.
Let me guess! Latimer is a favorite of Mara, he may get a new Antonio Brown type deal this offseason.
The GMEN need to move on from this dead weight already. Latimer, Solder, Manning, Vernon, Jenkins, Greco, Webb, Riley, etc. are not playing up to their paychecks each week. Out with the useless and losing and influx some hungry young talent and free agents that will buy into the GMEN WAY and leave it all on the field every week. It’s not rocket science Gettleman, just watch some of the old Crunch Bunch and Big Blue Wrecking Crew tapes to get the point and light a fire in you. Get a David Diehl and Chris Snee types for the o-line.
