The New York Giants announced Wednesday that they have claimed CB Chykie Brown off of waivers from the Ravens.
Baltimore cut a few defensive backs earlier in the following a disappointing game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Brown, 27, is in the final year of his four-year, $2.185 million rookie contract and would have made a base salary of $645,000 for the 2014 season.
The Ravens used a fifth-round draft pick on him back in 2011. He appeared in all 16 games for the Ravens over the past two seasons.
This year, Brown has recorded just nine tackles over the course of seven games and played a total of 141 snaps, according to Pro Football Focus. The big issue for Brown has been pass coverage as PFF has him rated as well below-average in this category.
