The New York Giants announced they’ve placed DE Romeo Okwara on injured reserve and claimed LB Nigel Harris off waivers from the Chargers on Tuesday.
Harris, 22, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida back in May. He stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.
The Chargers elected to waive him on Monday.
In 2017, Harris has appeared in five games for the Chargers and recorded 11 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.
