Giants Claim QB Logan Thomas Off Waivers From Dolphins

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Giants have claimed QB Logan Thomas off of waivers from the Dolphins on Friday.

Thomas will now take over as the GiantsĀ No. 3 quarterback behind Eli Manning and Ryan Nassib this summer.

Miami elected to waive Thomas yesterday to make room forĀ DT Charles Tuaau.

Thomas, 24,Ā is a former fourth-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in Arizona before he was waived and later claimed by the Dolphins.

Thomas is in the third yearĀ hisĀ four-year, $2,652,092 rookie contract, which includes base salaries of $600,000 (2016), and $690,000 (2017).

In 2014, Thomas appeared in two games for the Cardinals, even though they lost Carson Palmer and Stanton for the season. He threw for 81 yards and a touchdown, but completed just a single pass attempt.
